Hello! My name is Renee, so good to met you! (Ok well not really, but you catch my drift.) If you’re here, it probably means we have a common interest – healthy eating! This blog is my happy place. I post mostly recipes, but there are awesome rants about Crossfit and working out.
A little personal about me – I live with my fiancé Joe and our cat Bynx (who is paleo – LOVES any kind of meat!!) I love to dance, I love Olympic lifting, and CrossFit, but most of all, I love cooking! And cooking healthy has shed a whole new light on things. I also love a clean kitchen but hate to do the actually cleaning. Thankfully, Joe and I have an "understanding", if I do the cooking, he doesn’t mind doing the dishes! (I am guilty of using basically every pot and pan in the house on any given day. Oops!)
I have been doing Crossfit for nearly 4 years – its been the best adventure of my life! I had always considered myself an athlete – a runner. I have run a few marathons, half marathons, but after a nagging achilles injury I needed something new. I then I was introduced to the paleo diet, participated (and failed miserably I might add!) in a few Paleo Challenges. Eventually, something clicked. I was eating paleo 90-100% of the time without even trying. Then once I gained the knowledge the last paleo challenge was a breeze and the results were undeniable. I knew it was a lifestyle that I wouldn't change for the world.
